My Passion for Photography
Hello! My name is Carla Mabb, and I am a photographer who is currently studying the subject at UWE Bristol. Originally from Stoke-on-Trent, I moved to the city in September 2023 and fell in love with it.
I have always had a camera in my hand. Capturing moments in time and being able to revisit places is what is most special to me. I am mainly a landscape photographer but during my time studying I have been experimenting with on location shoots for clients, including working alongside Southmead hospital to capture the 10-year anniversary for the Brunel Building. I also love to go to concerts and capture live acts on stage! You will often find me around the centre of Bristol snapping away.
I am currently an intern for Media Photography Company, a group based in London creating high quality advertising images of billboards for a number of clients. This is allowing me to travel around the UK and to work professionally alongside a company.
the name ‘Mayne’ originates from my dad’s middle name, Tremain. I unfortunately lost him to cancer in November 2023, and was unsure if I would return to university. I found peace in photography and creating work in his memory, and that is why I dedicate this website to him. He is the reason I got into photography, and he is the reason I am still inspired to take photos. So here’s to you, dad!
